Top Woodforest Realtor Opts to Call Community ‘Home’

(Montgomery, TX – June 2010)
Woodforest’s top selling Realtor believes in the community so much he’s “putting his money where his mouth is” and buying a home there.

Jeff Morris with RE/MAX Platinum has sold four homes in the community this year, with several more serious buyers.

“I’ve been telling people to believe in their investment — I certainly do,” Morris said. “I’m buying in Woodforest because of the Montgomery school district, all the planned amenities and the value. The exact same Highland home I’m buying would sell for about $100,000 more in the back of The Woodlands — and we’re going to be closer to The Woodlands Mall.”

Morris says it’s an easy sell once clients visit Woodforest.

“The landscape is beautiful, there are deer and other wildlife, the golf course has the most beautiful greens in the area and Woodforest is in a growing area. It’s a total package.”

Woodforest offers homes priced from the $190,000s to more than $1 million, with many homesites in the heavily wooded 3,000-acre community bordering lakes, nature preserves and the Woodforest Golf Club, which features 27 holes contoured with towering pine trees and old-growth oaks common to the Northwest Houston landscape.

Woodforest’s master plan calls for 5,500 homes as well as retail and commercial properties, places of worship and on-site schools. Approximately 700 acres in Woodforest are dedicated to parks, open spaces and recreation areas, as well as various sports fields.

Just 5.2 miles north of The Woodlands and six miles south of Conroe, Woodforest is convenient to the wealth of shopping and entertainment options that define southern Montgomery County and make it one of the region’s most sought-after places to live. Within five minutes of Woodforest is Westwood Village Center, Kroger, Home Depot, Target, Chili’s, Starbucks, Office Max and much more. Convenient access just seven miles west of Interstate 45 is provided by the new Fish Creek Thoroughfare, an important north/south alternative to Interstate 45.
The Woodforest Welcome Lodge is open daily at 101 Elk Trace Parkway. For more information, visit
