Woodforest Plans April 10-18 Grand Opening(Montgomery, TX – Feb. 26, 2010)
The American dream comes alive April 10-18 in Woodforest as the community celebrates its grand opening with a custom home showcase of four $1 million-plus homes, model home tours, prize giveaways, children’s activities and more — all themed to evoke the simpler times of yesteryear.
“The American Dream Showcase of Homes” will be open to the public 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from April 10-18, with refreshments and family fun planned for Saturdays and Sundays, April 10-11 and 17-18. Activities include contests in kite flying and sidewalk chalk art, balloon artists, a bounce house, face painting and more. Visitors will be invited to submit names for the community spray ground and classic cars will add to the “days gone by” atmosphere. Plus, event-goers visiting Woodforest’s model homes will have a chance for door prizes. MidSouth Synergy will offer hot air balloon rides 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, weather permitting, during “Touchstone Energy Day.” Admission to all activities is free.
Located along Fish Creek Thoroughfare just north of FM 1488, Woodforest is five miles north of The Woodlands and six miles south of Lake Conroe. The community features homes from five regional and national builders and three well-known custom builders. Prices are from the $190,000s to more than $1 million.
